Hospitalization Guidline



Before your admission, you and your companion would be instructed clearly about all procedures, regulations, fees and other related matters. After you complete the admission procedure, our staff will show you the room that you will stay during your hospitalization. Nurses and technicians are available 24/24 to care and support you. Please do not hesitate to ask them if there is anything unclear or problems occur.

At the hospital, we provide you with:

  • Blankets, bed sheets, towels, hair dryer, toothpaste and other simple toiletries during your stay
  • Outfit specialized for patients

You should bring:

  • All of medications that you are taking
  • Medical records, examination results and other related documents
  • A copy of your identifier (passport, ID card)
  • Insurance card
  • Admission fee (informed by admission officer)
  • Your own outfits (to use when discharged)
  • Bath lotions, shampoos, personal toiletries, books
  • Teddy bear, small toys, comics for kids

Note: Do not bring with you precious stuff, jewelry, or much money to the treatment room. Otherwise, please contact us to keep them in the safe.

Visiting regulations

To ensure our patients enjoy their most pleasant and comfortable time at the hospital, according to international standards, we would like you to follow visiting regulations as below:

  • Visiting time: 7:00 – 7:30 and 17:30 – 21:00 daily.
  • Keep to the allocated visiting time
  • Visitors must wear hospital gown and shoes before entering the treatment area
  • Do not make noise that affects to other patients, limit your phone use.
  • Children under 14 years old are not allowed to visit patients
  • Do not bring food into the treatment area. Visitors may bring fruits (except for fruits with strong flavor such as jackfruit or durian) and non-alcoholic beverages to patients. However, consultation must be made before nursing the patient.
  • Pets such as cat, dog,… are not allowed on the hospital premises
  • Smoking is strictly forbidden in the hospital except in the designated outdoor area
  • Do not use camera or phone to take photos/record video in the hospital area without permission
  • Limit the number of visitors
  • Visitors who would like to stay overnight must buy a stay ticket
  • Relatives could call to ask the patient’s health status
  • A specific team of staff caring for pediatric patients are always willing to answer all questions.


Generally, you will be informed the discharge date 1 day in advance.

Discharge is normally before 12:00pm (noon). To conveniently discharge from the hospital, please note that:

  • You should ask your nurse if there is anything unclear about discharge time, billing matters, and so on.
  • A detailed report of all charges will be supplied, you should settle the payment at the cashier;
  • If your insurance company has already confirmed your medical expenses, you still need to checkout at the main cashier to approve your charges and to sign your bill.

Please do not forget to bring home:

  • Prescription for outpatient treatment with drug instructed by doctors
  • Discharge documents signed by the doctors
  • Imaging results (X-rays, CT), blood tests done during treatment.
  • Appointment card for following treatment (if any)
  • Your personal belongings that you took to the hospital

Direct billing procedure for foreign insurance card’s holders

In order to best serve our customers, Hong Ngoc Hospital has been continuously signing contracts with numerous international insurance partners. We are proud to be one of the hospitals cooperating with the greastest number of insurance companies. 

1. For customers of insurance company that has signed direct billing with Hong Ngoc


  • Valid insurance card and identifiers (birth certificate for children) have to be shown to the receptionist
  • Patient has to fulfill and sign the claim form according to rules
  • In case that insurance company refuses to pay a part or whole of fee, the patient has to directly pay the remaining to the hospital.

2. For customers of insurance company that has not signed direct billing with Hong Ngoc

  • Patients use medical services and pay 100% hospital fees by themselves.
  • Hong Ngoc provides patients necessary papers to submitted directly to the insurance company, including:

+ Invoice finance (red bill)

+ The list of hospital fees

+ Medical bills

+ Paper of specified services and the test results (if any)

+ Medical prescription

+ Hospital discharge paper (in case of inpatient treatment)

+ And other papers (if any)

Direct billing procedure for local insurance card

 To deliver quick and convenient services for customers using local insurance card, Hong Ngoc Hospital would like to inform our customers to be noted that:

  • Valid insurance card and identifiers (birth certificate for children) have to been shown to the receptionist 
  • Patient has to fulfill and sign the claim form according to rules
  • In case that insurance company refuses to pay a part or whole of fee, the patient has to pay directly the remaining to the hospital.
  • For partners that has not collaborated with Hong Ngoc Hospital, we will provide necessary procedures according to rules so that the patients could submit to their insurance company.
